Starting a new book!

This week I started a new book - the one which will eventually become my sixth novel! It'll be published in 2026, which feels very far away right now but will come around very quickly.
Writing the opening chapters of a new novel is my absolute favourite part of the process: the book is everything and nothing, and has the potential to be the best book I've ever written. Maybe this one will be The One, I always think to myself: the one that goes big, the one that gets made into a film, the one that gets translated into countless languages, the one which earns me as much money as people seem to think writers get (spoiler: writers often earn very little money from their books).
I so enjoyed writing my 2025 book (number five) that I was a little worried about starting number six. What if it's not as good? What if the writing process doesn't go as smooth? But I'm a couple of chapters into the story now and there's a lot to be excited about: secrets, lies, twists and turns! I can't wait to tell you more!
In the meantime, have you got any questions about my writing process? Ask me below!
